In my opinion, the
majority of assembly work at home opportunities are outright rip-offs and scams. From
my own business experience in the software industry, I know quite a bit
about reducing labor costs. It's a FACT that having people assemble
products at home in the UNITED STATES is usually not cost-effective. Unless
you cheat and don't pay them for all their work.
Why do you think all
the big companies in the world (like Nike) have their products manufactured
in countries like China, The Philippines, India, Equador, Mexico etc.??
Because they can pay dirt poor people $5-10 PER DAY to do assembly work.
Why aren't the "assemble products at home" companies doing the
same thing?? Why would they pay you $75 or $100 per day when they realistically
could pay $5...Kinda makes you go "hmmmmmmm." Here's how it usually works...
When I first started
investigating business opportunities, I purchased a product
assembly catalog, which was basically a list sold in opportunity magazines
which contains hundreds of companies that supposedly pay people to work
at home. Their trick is that they "reject" the majority of the
little "do-dads" or whatever you are assembling for them. They
might only pay for the assembly of THE 25% that had PASSED THEIR STRINGENT
QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTIONS, even though they salvage and use the products
that supposedly failed the inspection.
It should be duly noted
however that there are some "legitimate" work at home" opportunities
out there, but you typically won't find them in business opportunity magazines
and you certainly won't become wealthy or financially independent. You'll
usually find them in your local newspaper's "employment section"
or from an employment service or agency.
One example that comes
to mind is "press clipping". There are a hundred or so "press
clipping agencies" around the world that will pay stay at home moms
and others wishing to work at home, to read newspapers and clip out specific
articles. The clipping agencies then sell the newspaper article clippings
to corporations so that they can track and analyze what's "said about
them" by the media (press).
In conclusion, you will want to be very careful and avoid most so-called "work at home"
or "assembling products" opportunities. It's not worth the frustration
and the trouble and you probably won't make much money either.
There are much SMARTER
ways to make a great income by working from home...
