Deep Linking

Linking to a web page deep within another web site. It is typically used to provide shortcuts to external information that the author wants the user to have quick access to. For example, in affiliate marketing the affiliate site may have deep links to external content such as editorials or news style articles. They will also have deep links to external sales letters and order pages. Another definition of deep linking is linking to any page in a web site other than the site’s home page.
