IP Address
Internet Protocol Address. An IP address is a unique 4 digit number that identifies your computer on a network (like the Internet). This addressing system allows information to be delivered to and from other resources on a network, such as between computers and web servers on the Internet.
There are 2 kinds of IP addressing methods. Dynamic IP addressing assigns a different but unique IP address each time you attach to a computer network or the Internet. With static IP addressing, your IP address remains the same from connection to connection.
