Inline Frame
An inline frame or floating frame is a container or box inserted within a block of text on a web page. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has included the iframe feature in the HTML 4.01 specification. Internet Explorer 4.0 and above as well as Netscape 6.1 and above support inline frames. For older browsers that do not support inline frames, a short message will be displayed.
Tip: Inline frames cannot be resized.
Tip: A drawback to inline frames is that the search engine spiders cannot index text within them even though the engines claim to have this capability. Thus, any important information and keywords you want indexed by the search engine spiders should not be contained in an inline frame.
