Mouse Trapping
The use of browser tricks and schemes in an effort to hold a visitor hostage at a web page. This is done by such things as disabling the "Back" button, presenting a browser window with no control buttons (close, minimize, etc.), redirecting you to another page when you close the initial page, and/or generating annoying repeated pop-up windows.
A quick fix when mouse trapped is to use the combination ALT + F4 keys to close the offending window or popup.
