Opt-Out E-mail
A type of e-mail list marketing that assumes inclusion of your address until it receives an opt-out request. Opt-out e-mail is the most widely used form of list marketing by spammers.
Opt out means to remove yourself from an opt-out e-mail list.
Opt out also refers to a recently enacted law that requires customers to opt-out if they want to keep financial companies from sharing their private information.
