Paid Inclusion
Also called pay per click and pay for placement. Paid inclusion is an online advertising model in which advertisers’ website listings are placed in search engine results for a fee. Fees are click-based and predicated entirely on performance (i.e. impressions or actual click-throughs by surfers to target web pages).
Paid inclusion advertising is rapidly becoming a very popular form of marketing online. It’s often a perfect complement or in some cases an alternative to search engine ranking campaigns.
