Polite Popup Ad
A small Java ad (usually triggered upon entry to or exit from a web page) that pops open only ONCE for each unique visitor. Polite popups will not reappear when the same visitor comes back to the site or page that triggered it, so long as the cookie placed by the polite popup remains on the visitor’s computer. The cookie tracks each unique visitor so that return visits by those same visitors don’t include popup advertising. Once the cookie is deleted however, a return visit will produce a popup ad again.
